Built around the largest clean cabochon we cut last season — 40 by 28 millimeters of banded trunk, with the growth rings running corner to corner.
The frame is sawn and filed from brass sheet, antiqued, then relieved on the high points so the pattern reads at a distance. Backed with a soldered nickel-free pin and a locking clasp.
Heavy enough to want a jacket lapel or a wool coat rather than a light blouse.
